BOSTON - August 13, 2003 - In an
effort to protect home and small business users from the growing
number of Windows Messenger Service pop-up ads, web browser security
provider Winferno offers a free download, StopMess, that will
eliminate these advertisements with one mouse click. The Window
Messenger Service pop-up ads appear on users' computers as a way to
solicit advertisements, lead users to another web site or possibly
enter a user's computer unauthorized.
