Within a workspace, you can create multiple layers to help keep you organized
and each layer can contain multiple documents.

Adding Layers

To add a new layer, do any one of the following things:
- Select Window, Insert New Layer
- Or, right-click on the Layer Toolbar,
and select Insert New Layer
- Or, press Ctrl+L
|
Removing Layers
|
To remove a layer, do any one of the following things:
- Select Window, Close Layer
- Or, right-click on the Layer Toolbar,
and select Close Layer
- Or, press Ctrl+W
|
Renaming Layers
|
To rename a layer, do any one of the following things:
- Select Window, Rename Layer...
- Or, right-click on the Layer Toolbar,
and select, Rename Layer...
- Or, double-click on one of the tabs in Layer
Toolbar
Simply type in a name for the layer in the Rename Layer window
and it will then appear.

Switching Between Layers

To switch between layers, do any one of the following things:
- Click on the desired layer's tab in the Layer
Toolbar
- Or, select Window, Show Layer and then select the
desired layer
- Or, press either ALT + PageUp or ALT + PageDn
|
Changing the Order of the Layers
|
To change the order of the layers, do any one of the following things:
- Use the mouse to drag-and-drop the buttons in the Layer
Toolbar
- Or, use the mouse to drag-and-drop the layers shown in the Layer
Manager

Layer Manager

The Layer Manager is found in the Research-Desk Toolbox (on the left hand side
of your screen).
Use the Layer Manager to:
- Rearrange documents and layers
- Rename layers
- Quickly switch between layers
