PC Theater and Users:

PC Theater works with the Windows User names set up on your computer. If you already have your family set up as users, then you are all set and do not need to do anything else. When you open the PC Theater Parental Controls box, your user names will appear in the drop down box.

How to set up users:
Pick the computer you’re using:

• Windows 98 or Windows ME
• Windows XP
• Windows 2000

Windows 98 and Windows ME

1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Users
The "User Settings" dialog box will appear.
2. Choose New User then choose Next
3. Type the username for the new user and choose Next
4. Type and confirm the user’s password, and choose Next
5. Set up the "Personalized Items Settings" as follows, and choose Next
6. Choose Finish

 

Windows 2000

1. Right-click on My Computer and select Manage
2. Under the System Tools section, double-click Users under the Local Users and Groups section
3. From the Action menu, select New User
4. Enter the desired user information and click Create
5. Click Close

 

Windows XP

---

1. Click on the Start menu and select Control Panel
2. Click on User Accounts
3. Click Create a New Account
4. Enter the desired username and click Next
5. Select either Computer Administrator or Limited account type
6. Click Create Account
