You are here: Support / Help Docs / PC Theater PC Theater Help Documents Titles and Chapters What is a Title?
Titles are simply a collection of video clips or chapters. Generally there are multiple titles within a DVD. When you click on a title, you’ll be able to see the chapters within
that title. Just like novels, most DVDs are broken down into chapters. This makes it convenient for you to jump from chapter to chapter and quickly access different parts of the movie. Let’s say you have to stop watching a DVD. The next time you watch it, you don’t want to start from the beginning, but rather you’d like to start watching somewhere around were you last left off. In the past, you had to use the Fast Forward feature to locate your place. But that was time consuming! To make it easier, DVDs have been broken into multiple chapters. When trying to locate your place in a movie, you can skip from chapter to chapter to locate where you left off. For more fine-tuning, you can then use the Fast Forward button to locate your exact place. This convenient feature saves you time!
Chapter Sidebar
When insert a DVD into your computer, PC Theater will scan the disk for relevant Chapter information. It will then display this information in a Chapter Sidebar located in the right hand side of PC Theater. The Chapter Sidebar will list all of the chapters on your DVD. To view the Chapter Sidebar, click on the Chapter Sidebar button located in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. To jump from chapter to chapter, simply click on the chapters. If you click on Chapter 8, Chapter 8 will begin to play. If you’d like to watch another chapter, simply click on that chapter number. To show or hide the chapter sidebar, click
on the Chapter Button located in the lower right hand corner. Common Question: When I start up PC Theater and I click on different titles and chapters,
sometimes it won’t navigate to them. Am I doing something wrong?
