Empty Recycle Bin

Just because you’ve moved a document or photo into the Recycle Bin doesn’t mean that it has been deleted from your computer; anyone who has access to your computer can simply drag it out of the Recycle Bin and open it.

     

Sometimes it’s easy to forget this last step, especially when you have to leave your computer in a hurry. PC Confidential makes it easy to protect your privacy by automating this task. Now every time you close the Internet, PC Confidential can be set to thoroughly empty your trash to ensure you’re deleting everything in there.

Simply open PC Confidential and:

1. Press button labeled Delete My Temporary Files (on the left hand side of the screen)
2. Then check the box marked Scan Recycle Bin
3. Press Scan Now and this list will be scanned.
4. Once your Recycle Bin scan is complete, a Privacy Report will appear with your results.
5. To delete, press Delete All

If you’d like to stop scanning your Temporary Files selections, simply press Stop.

My Results:

After you press Scan Now, you’ll notice a scrolling list in the My Results section. This is a list of everything that is being scanned (in this case, the results could include recent documents list, Windows temporary files, Recycle Bin contents, file search history and Windows Explorer History). Once the scan is complete, you will also see a total number of scanned results.
