You are here: Support / Help Docs / PC Confidential 2005 PC Confidential 2005 Help Documents Delete My Temporary Files Delete Windows Explorer History When you double-click to open up a file, picture or folder using Windows Explorer, Windows is also secretly keeping a record of this action. It then stores this record in a hidden location deep in your registry. But just because its hidden, does not mean it cannot be found. Armed with the proper programs or just a little bit of computer knowledge, this file can easily be accessed. And whoever finds it will be able to see every picture, file, online video and more that you’ve ever opened! To remedy this potential invasion of your privacy, PC Confidential makes it
easy to locate and destroy this search.
If you’d like to stop scanning your Temporary Files selections, simply press Stop. After you press Scan Now, you’ll notice a scrolling list in the My Results section. This is a list of everything that is being scanned (in this case, the results could include recent documents list, Windows temporary files, Recycle Bin contents, file search history and Windows Explorer History). Once the scan is complete, you will also see a total number of scanned results. Don't have PC Confidential 2008?
