   What's New in Secure IE 2007
Secure IE 2007 contains many improvements and new features not found in Secure IE 2004.

Please read below for highlights of what's new in Secure IE 2007.
 New! Critical Security Features
  • McAfee SiteAdvisor Integration
    Secure IE 2007 now includes McAfee Site Advisor, which protects you from adware, spyware, spam, viruses and online scams.

    Now whenever you visit a website, McAfee advises you about the safety of that website using a colored button in your browser toolbar.

  • Winferno Security Scan
    Secure IE 2007 now includes an integrated security scan powered by McAfee. Accessed directly from your browser, you can scan your PC for dangerous spyware, viruses and other security threats.
 Manual & automatic URL shortcut definitions

URL shortcuts allow you to save time by saving frequent searches, logins, passwords and more.

Secure IE 2007 makes it easy to save these shortcuts, either manually or automatically. For example, click on the link http://mail.yahoo.com and add a shortcut. Then check "Automatically Submit Shortcut". The next time you time you want to check your Yahoo email, simply type the shortcut (ym) into the browser window. Then add a space and type in your username. Do the same for your password and hit enter. You’ll be automatically logged in!
 Close buttons on tabs
Each tab in Secure IE 2007 now comes with an individual close button, making it easier to close just one webpage and not the whole program.
 Great New Look
The first thing you'll probably notice about Secure IE 2007 is the great new look! We've streamlined and modernized the Secure IE interface with color, easy to locate buttons and added functionality.

Secure IE 2007 also incorporates many improvements to existing features and technology. Here are just some of the improvements:
  • Improved fast Forward technology makes it easier to navigate through a series of similar pages
  • Automatic cookie authentication for downloading files
  • Improved automatic detection and configuration with respect to popular virus scanning sofware such as McAfee and Norton anti-virus software
  • Smarter handling of Javascript based browser window sizing
  • Smarter handling of browser window tabs
  • Improved toolbars and menus
