Virus Scans

The Virus Scan deep scans your PC to locate harmful viruses, worms, Trojans, web dialers and other Internet threats.

At the top of the screen you’ll see a summary of your last scan including:

The date scanned

The number of items scanned

And the number of problems found

Viruses can exist on many locations on your PC and wreak all kinds of havoc.
To perform a full system scan, check all the boxes below.
To check specific areas of your PC, check individual boxes.

Winferno Security Scan thoroughly checks these areas of your PC for viruses, worms, Trojans, web dialers and other Internet threats.

Scan Program Files

Scan Windows System Files

Scan My Documents

Scan Desktop Files

Scan Temporary Files and Internet Cache

C:\ (Fixed Drive Partition)

D:\ (CD/DVD ROM Drive)

Choose the scans you’d like by checking the boxes next to the scan name. If you change your mind and decide not to perform one of the scans, just uncheck the box.

After you’ve made your selections, press the Scan Now button.

While scanning, notice that in the list of scans, some of the items have changed colors.

If an item is pink and has a check mark next to it, that means that scan is complete.

To Stop the scan at any point, simply press the Stop button.

After your scans are complete, your Scan Results will pop up in a separate window.
