   Initiating File Downloads

You may want to download certain files, for example .zip and .exe files onto your hard drive, instead of viewing them in the browser.

There are several ways to initiate file downloads:

  • Automatically download files of certain types (.zip, .exe, etc.) when clicked on a web page. (Also see File Download Settings)
  • Right-click on any link and select Download File
  • Click on the Download File link (located in the Secure IE toolbox) and enter a URL
  • Drag and drop links from a web page to the File Transfer Manager window.

For more control and additional features, use the File Transfer Manager window to initiate and manage your downloads.
