Blocking Flash and Popups
Blocking Macromedia Flash (multimedia effects on web pages)

Many web sites and multimedia ads use Flash to create animations and other special effects on web pages. With Research-Desk Professional, you can turn Flash on or off.
Simply click on the Flash button in the top right hand side of the browser to Block or Allow Flash.

 Blocking Popups
It is common practice for websites to popup web-browser windows to display advertisements. Many users consider this practice intrusive and annoying. Existing popup-blocking software often requires significant user involvement (e.g., maintain lists of URLs filters) or works imperfectly (non-advertisement popup windows are also blocked).

Research-Desk's patent pending PopSmart™ intelligently detects browser popup windows that are advertisements and silently blocks them while allowing 'good' browser popup windows to appear normally.

Research-Desk recognizes that not all popups are unwanted. Sometimes the sites we trust use them to convey important information. In this new version you can allow popups from sites that you have classified as "Trusted" or "Browser Security: Low".

Simply click on the Popups button in the top right hand side of the browser to Block, Allow or Allow only Trusted sites popups.

 Blocking ActiveX
You can allow or block ActiveX with a single click.

Simply click on the ActiveX button in the top right hand side of the browser to Block or Allow ActiveX.
