Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.

Starting New Microsoft Office Documents

To start a new Microsoft Office document, do any one of the following things:
- Select File, New, and then select the document type
of your choice
- Or, press CTRL+N, and then select the document type
of your choice
- Or, click on the icon of the document type of your choice
on the Standard Toolbar (see picture below)
- Or, right-click in the background area of the workspace,
and select the document type of your choice

Opening Existing Microsoft Office Documents

To open an existing Microsoft Office document, do any one of the
following things:
- Select File, Open, and then select your document.
(To narrow your search, choose File Type and only specified
file types will appear)
- In Research-Desk Toolbox (located on the left hand side),
choose Open & Save, and then click on the link Open
file or folder...
- Also in the Research-Desk Toolbox, choose Files. Files
is an exact replica of your PC. Simply choose which file you’d
like to open and double click on it.

Saving Microsoft Office Documents

To save a Microsoft Office document, do any one of the following things:
- Select File, Save
- Press CTRL+S to save the active document
- In the Research-Desk Toolbox (located on the left
hand side), choose Open & Save, and then click on the
link Save Document

Accessing Microsoft Office Help
|
To access Help for Microsoft Office documents, simply:
- Open or click on a Microsoft Office tab in Research-Desk
- Click on the Help Menu (located at the top of your screen)
- Depending on which type of document you are using (Word, Excel
or PowerPoint), Research-Desk will automatically configure that
documents Help Documentation. For example if you are using, Microsoft Word,
then Word Help would appear in the Research-Desk Help Menu.
Choose Word Help.
The Help menu when the active document is a Word Document.
