Toolbar
Use the buttons on
this toolbar to open
new documents -
web browser, file
transfer, Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint* and open
and save any of
these files. This
toolbar also
contains buttons for
other common tasks
such as printing,
and editing (copy,
paste, etc.) and
searching.
*Only Research-Desk
Professional can
open Microsoft
Office documents
Layer Bar
The names of the
layers appear on
buttons near the
top-right of the
Research-Desk screen. To view a
specific layer,
click the
corresponding layer
button. Think of
using Workspaces and
Layers similarly to
the way you would
use Workbooks and
Worksheets within
Microsoft Excel.
Document Tab
Bar
The names of the
documents in the
active layer appear
on buttons near the
top-right of the
screen. To activate
a document, click on
the corresponding
button. To move a
document from one
layer to another,
drag its button on
the Document
Tab Bar on
to the Layer
Bar.
