The Find box is in the Standard Toolbar along the top of the Research-Desk window. Use the Find box in conjunction with web pages, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. Simply enter the text to search for, and press Enter. Press F3 to repeat the last search. On Windows 2000 and XP systems, the Find What box automatically synchronizes its contents with the text entered in the Find dialogs invoked by selecting Edit, Find or pressing CTRL+F.

You can simultaneously search for specific text in all the documents in the workspace. To open the Search Workspace tool, select Edit, Search Workspace... or click on Search Workspace in the Side Bar.

In the Search What box, enter the text you want to search for. In the Which Layers box, select the layers that you want to search in. Click on the Go button to start the search. The Search Results box will now fill with results from the search.

Notice that the Search Results box also show the context of each result - for example, it shows the text immediately before and after the found occurrence of the search text.

Click on the items in the Search Results box in the Search Workspace window to instantly go to the corresponding occurrences of the search text.
