New
Document buttons
This
section of the
Standard
Toolbar has
icons for each of
the document types
installed in
Research-Desk. Use
the buttons on this
toolbar to start a
new document.
Side Bar
The
Side Bar
contains tools such
as the Layer
Manager, Search
Workspace (only
available in
Research-Desk
Professional),
Favorites, and
History.
Find Box
Use
the Find box
to search for text
in the current
document.
Layer Bar
This
toolbar lists the
layers in the
current workspace.
Use the buttons on
this toolbar to
activate the
corresponding layer.
Drag the buttons to
change the order of
the layers.
Double-click a
button to rename the
layer. Drag a button
from the
Document Tab Bar
to move a document
to a different
layer.
Document
Tab Bar
This
toolbar lists the
documents in the
current layer. Use
the buttons on this
toolbar to activate
the corresponding
document. Drag a
button to the
Layer Bar
to move the document
to a different
layer.
Status
Bar
This
toolbar shows status
messages. It also
shows progress for
web pages.
Info.
Message Box
The
Info.
Message Box
will appear, from
time-to-time, to
show informative
messages.
Download Bar
A Download Bar
automatically is
automatically shown
for each file that
is downloaded from
the web.
