Save Microsoft Office Documents individually (.doc, .xls,
.ppt Files)
Select File, Save or press CTRL+S
to save the active document in its native format such as .xls, .doc, or .ppt.
Documents saved in this manner can be opened by both Research-Desk and the
individual Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Save all open documents at once (.doc, .xls, .ppt
Files)
Select File, Save All or press
CTRL+SHIFT+S to save all open documents in all layers. Documents saved in
this manner will also be saved in their native format.
Save Workspace (.Work File)
Select File, Save Workspace to save the
collection of open documents. A workspace saved in this manner only contains
links to the individual documents; the workspace does not contain the contents
of the individual documents. Individual documents will still need to be saved by
selecting File, Save or File, Save All.
Save Self-Contained Workspace (.zWork File)
Select File, Save Self-Contained Workspace
As to save the collection of open documents into a self-contained file. A
workspace saved in this manner includes the contents of all the individual
documents. The individual documents do not need to be saved separately.
