You are here: Support / Help Docs / Registry Power Cleaner Registry Power Cleaner Help Documents Options Options
In the options menu are choices for automatically backing up your registry and for automatically running Registry Power Cleaner.
Automatic Back-up Depending on what operating system you are running, there will be one of two options for automatically backing up your registry. If you are running Windows XP, you will have the option to Automatically Create System Restore Point before Cleaning. This will create a system restore point that allows you to return your computer's settings to the point in time when you created the restore point. If you are running Windows 98, ME or 2000, you will have the option to Automatically Backup System Registry before Cleaning. This option creates a back-up copy of the registry. To learn more about restoring your system from a back-up copy of the registry or from a system restore point, click here. **Please note that system restore points are only kept by Windows XP for 90 days before being automatically erased.**
