You can customize your Dashboard by clicking on Preferences and then clicking on the Dashboard tab.

When your Show Dashboard is checked, your Dashboard will be visible on your monitor. If this is too distracting, but you would still like to monitor Internet Speed, you can change the transparency of the Dashboard.

Mostly Visible: Pick the option None. Choosing this option means the Dashboard will be most visible.

Slightly Visible: Pick the option Low. The Dashboard will be slightly see through and you will be able to see files or programs underneath it. However you should still be able to see the Dashboard and the information displayed on it.

Barely Visible: Pick the option Medium. The Dashboard will be mostly see through and you will be able to see files or programs underneath it. It will be harder to read information on the Dashboard but the files beneath will be more apparent.

Almost Invisible: Pick the option High. The Dashboard will be almost totally see through and you will be able to see files or programs underneath it very clearly. It will be difficult to read information on the Dashboard.

To customize your Dashboard and optimize your speed, choose your connection speed.

When you customize your connection to the monitor (such as dial-up or DSL), the scale automatically calibrates to suit your connection speed.
