Have you ever started to type in a search box (like the ones on Google.com)
and the website remembered what you were looking for? Or have you had this
happen when you start to type in your email address?

While this feature may be helpful for some things, it can also seriously compromise your security and privacy.
This "saved list" happens because of a feature called auto-complete. This feature stores a list of ANYTHING you type in a web page. Which means your name, your email, your credit card numbers, your address and your passwords could all be stored in your Auto Complete History. If a hacker were to break into your PC, this is exactly the kind of information they'd be looking for.
Let's look at it from a privacy standpoint...
What if someone else were to use your computer and start a search using Google. The problem is, these websites don't just remember one thing, they remember it ALL. Would you want everyone to see everything you had searched for?
Private IE makes it easy to protect your privacy and clear all items from your Auto Complete History.
During a web browser session you simply open Private IE and locate
Clear Browser History (on the left hand side of the
screen).

Choose one of the following options:
- All Sites - Choosing this option sets Private IE to
delete all sites in your History.
- All Except Trusted Sites - In your browser, you can
categorize websites based on how much you trust them. If you choose this option, all
Browser Security : Medium (Unclassified Sites) and
Browser Security : High (Restricted Sites) will be
deleted. This option is helpful if you have a site you visit frequently and want to
easily access it from the History panel.
- Restricted Sites Only - Choosing this option sets
Private IE to delete all the sites that you have classified as Browser
Security : High (Restricted Sites).
Once you have made your choice, press the button labeled Clear Now
and your Auto-Complete History will be cleared.
Would you like this option to be Automatic?
