How to convert Video Formats:

Converting Videos is as easy as 1-2-3 with BabelVideo!

Step 1: Select a File

Either type in a file name or press the Browse button. This will bring up a Windows Explorer like box, where you can search your PC for your video. Once you have selected a video, press Ok and your video will be added to the program.

Notice how once you have selected a file; the video details will be filled in. You’ll see specific information on your video including:

Video Codec

Frame Rate

Height

Duration

Bit Rate

Width

Note - If your system does not have the necessary codec, this section will be blank. However, you can still convert the file.

Step 2: Choose Output Format

Either type in an Output Destination (where you’d like to save the video) or press the Browse button. This will bring up a Windows Explorer like box, where you can search your PC for an output destination, such as a folder or your Desktop. Once you have selected a destination, press Ok.

Then pick a File Type from the drop down list. You’ll notice that there are three columns. The first is the file extension (.avi, .mov, etc). Next is the file type (Raw Video, Flash Video, etc). And lastly is the player installed on your PC that will play that type of video file (Windows Media Player, QuickTime, etc). If the third column is blank for any of these choices that simply means that you don’t have a player installed on your PC that supports that file type. However you can still convert to that file type.

Step 3: Select Output Quality

By selecting your output quality, you can drastically reduce the file size of the video. This makes videos easier to send via email and takes up less space on your PC.

Simply move the slider to the left for smaller file sizes. Moving the slider to the right will increase file size but it will also increase quality.

When you are finished, simply press Convert Now and your video will be converted.
