"Secure IE...
A faster, safer way to surf the Internet."

CNET Download.com's Editor, Wayne Cunningham, called Secure IE with Internet Explorer "best of both worlds" compared to alternative browsers - Netscape and Opera!

"Secure IE 2003 is among the best at enhancing IE's security controls and handling ad-blocking and piracy concerns." PCWorld.com, July 31, 2003

"I looked around for a better security source and that's when I found out about Secure IE and Private IE. I read all about this product from top to bottom, I was satisfied with what I read, but still being a skeptic after I installed it I went to hackers.org and had them try to find a leak in my system.

They could not get in at all."

Productivity Features Technical Details

Progress indicators on Browser Tabs:
Secure IE Suite:
Firefox:

Secure IE features a pie graph on each tab that shows the download progress of each open web page. This means that you can look at another open web page while the first is loading and still be able to tell how much longer that page will take to load.

Firefox has a similar feature, but on web page tabs in the Firefox browser, you can only tell if a page is still loading or not. You cannot tell how much it has left to load.

Browse faster with FastForward technology:
Secure IE Suite:
Firefox:

When viewing a multi-page article online, Secure IE automatically figures out the appropriate next page- and you can simply click on the Forward button (or ALT+right arrow on the keyboard) to go to the next page.

Firefox does not have this. FastForward technology is unique to the Secure IE browser.

Save Time with pre-programmed address bar shortcuts:
Secure IE Suite:
Firefox:

Secure IE offers many shortcuts that can conveniently be used right in your address bar. For example, type “ebay motorcycles” in the address bar and after you hit enter, you are taken to a page on ebay.com about motorcycles.

Firefox offers a web search text box in it’s toolbar that allows you to type a search query and select from a list of predefined search engines, but it does not support any address bar shortcut features.

Automatically "remembers" your logins from Internet Explorer:
Secure IE Suite:
Firefox:

Secure IE and Internet Explorer share your lists of logins, so if you change a login in one browser, it will be changed in the other. In this way, Secure IE imports all your favorites (websites, passwords, cookies and other data) automatically whenever they change, so you don’t have to remember to import them yourself.

Firefox and Internet Explorer are built on different base technologies, which means they cannot share common files. Because of this, Firefox imports your favorites, passwords, cookies and other data from Internet Explorer upon installation and offers you the option of importing them again later, but does not do this automatically for you.
