Clears private information based on security zone:

The Secure IE Security Manager allows you to set up how you want all your private information to be handled. What’s better, websites are restricted in their access to your private information based on what security zone category they fall into. Websites listed under Low security are allowed to keep cookies and use Flash and ActiveX on your computer. Websites with Medium security are allowed limited access and High security websites are denied access completely.

Firefox keeps lists of certain pieces of personal information and allows you to view and delete them. But any management of privacy features in Firefox is not automatic. It must be done through the Options toolbox.






Can be set to automatically clear browser history by secure zone:

With Secure IE, depending on what security zone a website is in, the browser history will be cleared accordingly. You can choose to clear information for all websites in just one security zone or you can clear all the information across all zones. This means that you can keep the logins etc, for the sites you trust.

Firefox lets you specify how long to keep browser history before deleting it, but this means that everything is eventually deleted. You have no choice in what to keep and what to delete.

With Secure IE, a website is allowed to write cookies onto your computer depending on what security zone it has been classified into. And if you want to delete cookies, you can delete all the cookies on your computer or just the cookies for websites that fall into a certain security zone.

With Firefox, websites are either allowed to write cookies to your computer or not. There is no option for limited access. And any existing cookie deletion must be done manually.

The Secure IE Suite will automatically delete your cache as often as you choose.

Firefox will only delete chache if you go into the Options toolbox and do it manually.

The Secure IE Suite will automatically clear out windows temporary files as often as you want.

In Firefox, Windows temporary files must be manually deleted through the Options toolbox.
